Nails By Danielle - FAQ and Care Guide

How do I figure out my correct press-on nail size?
Finding your perfect fit ensures your set looks natural and lasts as long as possible.
  • The Fit Test: Place the press-on nail over your natural nail. It should fit perfectly from sidewall to sidewall without overlapping onto your skin or cuticles.
  • Between Sizes? If a nail feels slightly too big, choose the smaller size, or use a nail file to gently shave down the sides until it fits perfectly.
What is included in my Nails by Danielle prep kit?
Every custom set comes with a complete application kit containing:
  • A mini nail file and buffer block
  • A wooden cuticle pusher
  • Alcohol prep wipes
  • Professional liquid nail glue (for long-term wear)
  • Adhesive nail tabs* (for short-term wear) *By request only*
How do I apply my press-on nails for the longest wear?
Proper preparation is the secret to a long-lasting manicure. Follow these steps carefully:
  1. Prep: Push back your cuticles using the wooden stick and gently buff the surface of your natural nails to remove the natural shine.
  2. Clean: Wipe your nails thoroughly with the alcohol pad to remove all dust and oil. Let them dry completely.
  3. Apply: Apply a small drop of glue to your natural nail and a small drop to the back of the press-on nail (or apply an adhesive tab).
  4. Press: Align the press-on with your cuticle line at a 45-degree angle, then press down firmly. Hold with steady pressure for 30 seconds to ensure no air bubbles are trapped.
  5. Cure Time: Avoid getting your hands wet or applying heavy lotions for at least 1 to 2 hours after application.
Nail Glue vs. Adhesive Tabs: Which should I use?
Your choice depends entirely on how long you want to wear your custom set:

  • Adhesive Tabs (1–3 Days): Perfect for weekend events, photo shoots, or switching up your look frequently. This method leaves no residue, making it the easiest way to preserve and reuse your nails.
  • Nail Glue (1–2 Weeks): Ideal for long-term wear. With proper application and care, your set can easily last up to 14 days.
How do I remove my press-on nails safely without damage?
Never force, snap, or peel your press-on nails off dry. Doing so can peel away layers of your natural nail.
  • The Soaking Method: Soak your hands in a bowl of warm, soapy water mixed with a few drops of cuticle oil (or olive oil) for 10 to 15 minutes.
  • The Gentle Lift: Gently slide the wooden cuticle stick under the edges of the press-on nail. If it doesn't lift easily, soak for another 5 minutes.
  • Clean Up: Once off, gently buff away any remaining glue residue from your natural nails and apply cuticle oil to hydrate.
Can I reuse my custom Nails by Danielle sets?
Yes! Because every set is made with high-quality materials, they are fully reusable.
  • If you used tabs: Simply peel the used adhesive tab off the back of the press-on nail. It is immediately ready to store and reuse.
  • If you used glue: Use the soft side of your mini buffer block to gently file away any hardened glue buildup from the back of the press-on nail before storing them back in their box.
